Please do not ask us to run checks without good reason; be aware of the following before requesting a check:
- Checkuser is a last resort for difficult cases; pursue other options first, such as posting on the administrator's noticeboard. (This is not a venue for requesting administrative action such as blocks or file clean-up.)
- Running a check will only be done to combat disruption on Commons, or as required to assist checkuser investigations on other Wikimedia wikis.
- Valid reasons for running a check include, for example: vandalism where a block of the underlying IP or IP range is needed and suspected block evasion, vote-stacking, or other disruption where technical evidence would prevent or reduce further disruption.
- Requests to check accounts already confirmed on other projects may be declined as redundant.
- Requests to run a check on yourself will be declined.
- Evidence is required. When you request a check, you must include a rationale that demonstrates (e.g., by including diffs) what the disruption to the project is, and why you believe the accounts are related.
- Requests to run a check without evidence or with ambiguous reasoning will result in delays or the request not being investigated.
- The privacy policy does not allow us to make a check that has the effect of revealing IP addresses.
Outcome
Responses will be brief in order to comply with Wikimedia privacy policy. Due to technical limitations, results are not always clear. Closed requests are archived after seven days.
Privacy concerns
If you feel that a checkuser request has led to a violation of the Wikimedia Foundation privacy policy regarding yourself, please refer the case to the Ombuds commission.

Rationale, discussion and results[edit]
Reason: These accounts and IPs may be owned by the same person as they seem to be interested in files related to Spanish representation zones (e.g. File:Zona A del Transantiago.png and File:Zona C del Transantiago.png) and have engaged in edit warring over the names of these files the past few days. They have also edited Aroblesm's talk page frequently to clarify with him about those zones. Quilmo193 is blocked on the Spanish Wikipedia for sockpuppetry under the reason Ha habierto una cuenta títere para hacer lo mismo. La otra cuenta cerrada permanentemente, esta de momento por un mes (Google translate: He has opened a puppet account to do the same. The other account is permanently closed and is currently for a month.)
Also, Quilmo193 uploaded File:Recorrido G10 (El Mariscal-Plaza de San Bernardo).jpg on 4 March, and I deleted the file on 9 March, at 16:41 UTC. At 17:13 UTC, Fractarme uploaded the same file under the same name without the word "de" (File:Recorrido G10 (El Mariscal-Plaza San Bernardo).jpg) and it was deleted by me today. Before deletion, 190.21.73.205 engaged in edit warring and removed the template multiple times, instead of challenging the speedy deletion and turning it into a regular deletion request. The same behaviour could also be seen on File:D14 (Foton eBus U12 SC).jpg and File:Wormhole 6777 b.jpg (the uploader claimed that there is no copyright violation and tried to file a rename request). Kindly investigate this issue. Thanks. Jianhui67 T★C 10:40, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]
- 12h15s (talk • contribs • Luxo's • SUL • deleted contribs • logs • block user • block log )
Rationale, discussion and results[edit]
Reason: During block of GMatteotti 12h15s was created. They are interested in same files. Unblock request of GMatteotti was declined: he said, that he will not create new sockpuppets, but still worked anonymously. If their relationship is confirmed, then indefinite block of GMatteotti is likely. Taivo (talk) 16:13, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

Rationale, discussion and results[edit]
Reason: (Was directed here from COM:ANUP. I haven't had to deal with this before, so I'm sorry if this isn't where this should be done or if I miss anything) Second listed IP left message on my talk page saying, in the middle of many angry words, that File:Flag of the Vietnamese Republican Youth Movement.svg is "[their] drawing", linking them to User:Vietnam.Conghoa and therefore User:Namkhanh02. The first IP started the discussion about the file two weeks ago, and I'm assuming it's the same person on another device or after a DHCP release and renewal. I was told at COM:ANUP the entire 2405:4802:0:0:0:0:0:0/32 IPv6 range is concerned, but there's just too many addresses there to check. Thank you and sorry. Rubýñ (Talk) 06:13, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Declined - Please review the instructions at COM:RFCU, which include "The privacy policy does not allow us to make a check that has the effect of revealing IP addresses." Эlcobbola talk 15:10, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Эlcobbola: Thanks for looking at this case. Without revealing anything publicly, could you please block the IPs which are a violation of Namkhanh02's block. Thanks, Yann (talk) 22:35, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
